Who we are

What this website collects about you

Nothing, automatically. Reading these pages does not identify you to us.

• No cookies. This site sets none at all — not for analytics, not for advertising, not for preferences.
• No analytics or tracking. There is no Google Analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel and no session-recording tool anywhere on this site.
• No accounts. There is nothing to log in to, no registration, and no comment section.
• Nothing stored in your browser. The site writes no local storage and keeps no record of your visit on your device.

Our web server’s records

Like nearly every website, the server that hosts this one keeps a standard access log. Each entry typically records the IP address that made the request, the date and time, the page or file requested, and the browser’s user-agent string.

These logs exist so that the site can be kept running and so that faults and abuse can be investigated. They are not linked to your name, are not used to build a profile of you, are not used for marketing, and are not sold or shared. They are held by our hosting provider, SiteGround, and retained according to their standard practice rather than by any choice of ours.

When you use our contact form

Our Contact Us page has a form. If you fill it in, this is what happens to what you type.

• What we receive: your name, your email address, your message, and — only if you choose to enter them — a phone number and a subject line.
• What it is used for: replying to you. That is the only purpose.
• Where it goes: it is sent to us as an ordinary email, at the address above. That inbox is a Gmail account, so Google handles your message in the same way it handles any email you might send us directly.
• What is not done with it: it is not saved into a database on this website — the site does not have one. It is not added to a mailing list, because we do not run one. It is not passed to anyone else.
• Spam protection: the form includes two hidden technical checks — an unused field that only automated software fills in, and a check on how quickly the form was submitted. Neither collects any information about you.

Your message stays in our email account for as long as we may need it to deal with your enquiry and keep a record of correspondence. If you would like it deleted sooner, ask us and we will.

The video on our America Be Strong page

That page carries one video, which is hosted by YouTube. It does not load when the page opens. What you see is a still picture, served from our own server, with a play button on top.

Nothing is requested from YouTube or Google until you press play. If you do press it, the player loads and YouTube then receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, in which case Google’s privacy policy governs that playback rather than this one. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced address (youtube-nocookie.com) to reduce what is collected. If you never press play, YouTube never hears from you.

Fonts, images and everything else on the page

Every font, image and file these pages need is served from our own server. There are no web fonts loaded from Google, no images from a content delivery network, no embedded maps and no social media widgets. This matters because each of those would quietly hand your IP address to another company on every visit.

Payments and donations

This website does not take payments or donations, and it does not ask for card or bank details anywhere. If that ever changes, this page will be updated before it does.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Since the site collects nothing automatically, the only way we would receive a child’s details is if they were typed into the contact form. If that has happened and you would like it removed, email us and we will delete it.

Your choices

Because we keep no database and no analytics records, in almost every case the only information we hold about you is an email you chose to send us. You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, or ask us to delete it. Write to lastella1@gmail.com, or use our Contact Us page, and we will deal with it.

You do not need to change any browser setting to stop this site tracking you, because it does not track you.

Changes to this policy

If we change how this website handles information, we will change this page and update the date at the top of it.
